Having confirmed online co-op earlier in the year, it had been believed that Resident Evil 5 would avoid any attempt at a splitscreen mode in fear of a visual downgrade.
However a presentation at Tokyo Game Show has revealed that Takeuchi-san and his team have been able to implement the mode, bringing Chris and Sheva's adventure to those not hooked up to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. Alot of people were not expecting it to be splitscreen, and this is a surprising turn of event's for people who can't or choose not to play over the internet.
